Rebellion in Altamira Prison Fighting between criminal organizations sparked a killing spree. Two prison officers were taken hostage. Detainees at the Altamira Regional Recovery Center in southwest Pará have been rioting since 7 am on Monday (29). According to the Superintendence of the Pará Prison System (Susipe), there are 51 known dead prisoners to date.
