A woman in China was detained after using her leg to block the doors of a high-speed train at Shenzhen North Railway Station on 18 April, delaying its departure to wait for her companion. According to Guangshen Railway, the incident happened as a train was about to depart for Xiamen. Despite staff intervention, the woman’s companion managed to board the train, which ultimately left without delay. The act was caught on video and quickly went viral online. Shenzhen Railway Police later tracked the woman down in Xiamen and detained her on 19 April. She has admitted to the act and expressed remorse. Authorities say her behaviour disrupted the normal operations of public transport. An investigation is ongoing. Full story via the link.
