INFO:
Paul says in his first letter to the Corinthians (1 Corinthians 3:6-7) “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.” Paul is trying to say that different people play different roles in someone’s spiritual journey. In the context of apologetics, this means that you might be the person who plants a seed by addressing a question or objection. Someone else might come along later to reinforce or build upon what you’ve shared (watering the seed). Ultimately, it is God who brings growth and transformation in a person’s heart, not us. Your role in apologetics is to lovingly present the truth, answer their questions and engage with them as long as you’re bith willing to, and trust that God will continue the work. Whether you see immediate results or not, the important thing is that you have contributed to their journey by being a faithful witness, showing love and respect in your interaction. The rest is in God’s hands.
